Computer Applications

Google Applied Digital Learning

The course is designed to equip students with the tools they need to function effectively in an increasingly digital world. This course focuses on basic Google services like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and many others. Students will also spend time throughout the year focusing on improving their keyboarding skills through an online, self-paced program.

Logic School Art

For middle school art, students are presented an introduction to principles and elements of art through a developed understanding of art vocabulary terms and basic art history to understand broad topics as well as artistic movements. Students explore the foundations of art through various techniques, which are then translated into personal pieces of artwork.

Logic School Choir

LS Choir is designed to move students from rote learning of notes to reading  music by learning intervals. The Kodaly method is used for teaching sight singing, ear training, and musicianship. We also spend time learning vocal training, including choral vowel usage, breathing techniques, and in tune singing and blend. These techniques allow students to sing in harmony using a wide variety of repertoire with 2-part or 3-part music.

Concert Band

This course will discover and develop the God-given talents of each student in a traditional concert band setting.  Each student will be given the opportunity to develop both technique and musicianship through formal concerts and extracurricular events.  The musical curriculum will include traditional concert music as well as marching band and popular music.

Logic School STEM

Standing for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, the STEM elective will expose students to this integrative concept. While referenced as a STEM elective, it will involve a STEAM approach in which art is also incorporated into science and technology. This course offers students an opportunity to explore and investigate science concepts with a hands-on approach, giving students the opportunity to try, do, and experiment. Labs, projects, collaboratives, and one-pagers provide the structure for learning in this class and support content learned in the science classroom.
