What is a Capital Campaign?
Independent schools run capital campaigns to fund big, long-term projects that go beyond their normal annual budget. These campaigns typically focus on things like:
- Building or Renovating Facilities
* New gyms, science labs, classrooms, auditoriums, or athletic fields
* Renovations to existing buildings that need updates or repairs - Increasing Endowment
* To provide long-term financial stability
* To fund scholarships, staff development, or future programs - Major Program Enhancements
* Launching new academic programs, arts initiatives, or tech upgrades
* Expanding extracurricular or athletic offerings - Reducing Debt
* Paying off loans from earlier building projects or expansions
Capital campaigns differ from annual fund drives as they target transformational growth, not simply addressing operating costs. Capital campaigns are typically multi-year, carefully planned efforts with major gifts from lead donors setting the tone.

A Generation On the Rise
Today’s kids are growing up in a world full of noise—voices trying to define who they are and who they’ll become. In a culture pulling them in every direction, they need to be anchored—in community, in mentorship, and in the Truth of the Gospel.
At Brazos Christian School, we believe this generation will lead with purpose. They’ll shape businesses, churches, nonprofits, and communities. But great leaders don’t just happen, they’re built on strong foundations.
For more than forty years, our school has been built—literally and spiritually—by faithful parents and leaders who believed in our students. What was once a dream is now our daily reality. On The Rise is our moment. Our chance to invest in the next generation. Our declaration, even to students and families we may never know, that we believed in them.
We’re expanding our mission to include:
* More classrooms for academic excellence
* More space for the arts, theater, and music
* Stronger programs to develop student-athletes
* A campus ready to welcome more families
And it’s going to take all of us. Together in the trenches—raising up a generation grounded in Truth and marked by servant leadership—we lead with purpose. We lead by example. And we build—both a generation and a campus—On The Rise.
We have made incredible progress since launching the campaign in 2022! Several key phases of our campus expansion have already become a reality: the completion of the Sports Performance Center (SPC), expanded bleachers and new Press Box, renovations to Building B, the expansion of Building C to include four new classrooms, and the addition of a dedicated Logic School/Rhetoric School Art Room and a vibrant new Commons area.
Looking ahead, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) is on track for completion in summer 2025, along with another round of exciting renovations to Building B.
It’s Going to Take All of Us—Let’s Finish Strong!
God is doing something incredible at Brazos Christian School, and we’re inviting you to be part of it. These transformational campus renovations are being funded entirely through private donations—and now, we’re calling on our “Family of Families” to help carry this vision across the finish line.
Our goal from the beginning was bold: $10 million. By God’s grace and through the overwhelming generosity of our campaign donors, we’ve already received $6.5 million in commitments. That means we’re just $3.5 million away from making this dream a reality!
Every single gift matters. Every act of generosity—large or small—is a testimony of faith, love, and investment in the next generation. Together, let’s build something that will bless our school, our students, and God’s Kingdom for years to come.

Building for His Glory, Giving in Faith.
"All of the teachers and staff here truly do care about the students and set an example of how to live for Christ. Having the Bible incorporated into lesson plans shows me that time I spend with Jesus should not be separate from the rest of my life, but I should seek to grow closer to Jesus in everything that I do.”
