Chapel is one of the core elements of the Brazos Christian School experience and education. All BCS students attend chapel once per week. Our Logic School and Rhetoric School students attend Chapel on Tuesday mornings, while our Grammar School students attend chapel on Thursday mornings.
Logic & Rhetoric School Chapel
Logic and Rhetoric School students gather together weekly for chapel. Our time together includes worship, sound Biblical teaching, and time for reflection and prayer. Worship is led by the BCS Praise Band, which is made up of Rhetoric School students. Outside praise and worship bands are invited to lead worship at chapel occasionally and at RS and LS spiritual retreats. Our speakers include local pastors and youth leaders, parents of BCS students, and BCS teachers, staff, administrators, and coaches. Regular times for connection in smaller designated Life Groups are scheduled throughout the year. Chapel is planned with purpose and prayer and designed to help us grow in our relationship with God and in community with each other.
Grammar School Chapel
Grammar School students enjoy Chapel once a week in two sessions: PreK through second grades and third through sixth grades. In order to study and apply meaning, the yearly school-wide Scripture is divided into sections for each month. In Chapel, Grammar School worships in song, Scripture, and prayer, followed by a special speaker who teaches the specific passage in a developmentally appropriate way. Our speakers include local pastors, children’s ministers, youth leaders, Christian camp directors, parents, and BCS teachers, staff, and administrators. All would agree that Chapel is the favorite time of the week!
