New Family FAQ
We are delighted to have your student joining us at Brazos Christian School. Below you will find some helpful links and explanations of what to expect in the coming year. Please feel free to contact the admissions office if you have further questions. We will be happy to help provide you with more information and connect you with the right person.
You will be receiving notification from the school nurse about completing annual health information on our RenWeb school portal. If you have any questions about these forms, please contact our school nurse, Amanda Brown, at 979-823-1000.
Competitive team sports start in 7th grade. Please contact the Assistant to the Athletic Director, Darcy Goodyk, with any questions you may have about team registration.
If your child is out for the day or has an appointment to be picked up early, you can call the front desk to let the school know. You must walk into the Administration building and sign out your child when you arrive to pick them up.
Supervised care is provided for Pre-K through 6th grade students whose parents work hours extend beyond the school day hours. The program is available Monday through Friday and is billed at the end of the month. A snack is provided.
Cost for 2021 - 2022 School Year
- $12 per day - Parents will be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute for every minute after 5:30 PM

Books and school supplies are purchased by Brazos Christian School and included in your tuition. You can see if your child's teacher has an Amazon Wish List for their classroom if you would like, but that is not required.
Our upcoming campus events are updated throughout the year!
We have one main entrance at Brazos Christian School (Administration building), and the campus is completely fenced in with two gates that have key/pin entrance only. The campus also features security cameras positioned in strategic and high-traffic areas. We have a nurse on-site during school hours. For all after-school events, we have an administrator on-site.
The pickup and drop off area is located next to the sidewalk in front of the main building. No student should be dropped off in the parking lot area and then be expected to walk through carpool traffic. FOR SAFETY REASONS, WE ARE EXPECTING ALL STUDENTS TO BE DROPPED OFF AND PICKED UP CURBSIDE ONLY. Only those parking their cars for the academic day should park in the parking lot and then cross in the designated crosswalk area only. Find our full carpool protocols here.
Grammar School Chapel is held every Thursday from 8:00 - 8:30 for Pre-K through 2nd grade and 8:30 - 9:00 for 3rd through 6th grade.
Logic School and Rhetoric School Chapel are on Tuesday mornings from 8:00 - 8:35.

Pre-K through 6th grade has several field-trips each school year.
Every year during the last week of May, students in grades 7th–12th have the opportunity to go on a Class Trip. More information can be found on the Class Trips page.

Every Tuesday during the school year, parents meet on campus from 8 - 9 AM to pray over the school. Any and all parents are welcome, so please feel free to come join the group!
Grammar School: 8 AM - 3:05 PM
Logic School: 8 AM - 3:35 PM
Rhetoric School: 8 AM - 3:35 PM

The official spirit shirt for the school year are designed by BCS students and then sold through a preferred vendor. Other approved spirit wear can be purchased through our online school store.
Spirit wear is appropriate for Fridays, class field trips, and other approved Spirit Days.
- Blue denim jeans or shorts (No holes, frays, or embellishments. No cargo or basketball style.)
- Brazos Christian-approved spirit shirt or logo'd polo
- Belt (black or brown)
- Tennis shoes
- Brazos Christian hoodie or sweatshirt (As appropriate. Outerwear must be approved Brazos Christian spirit wear, or college-branded outerwear.)
