PROJECT OVERVIEW
─
This is a generation on the rise. A generation of kids being constantly bombarded with influences attempting to shape who they’ll become. It’s a difficult time to grow up. A time when it’s never been more important to be anchored to community and mentorship invested in doing the shaping—pushing back against the drift of culture and fighting to stay rooted in the Truth of the Gospel and the teachings of Jesus. And eventually, this generation is going to make an impact. They’re going to be leading businesses, pastoring churches, running non-profits, holding public office. Great leadership is derived from strong foundations. And Brazos Christian School is stepping up to leave that mark.
For over forty years, our school has been shaped and literally built by generations of passionate parents and leaders who believed in our kids. The opportunities they seized then have become our expectations now. On The Rise is our turn. Our turn to invest in the shaping of a generation. To show kids and families we may never meet that WE believed in THEM.
Our vision is to expand our mission - to create space for more classrooms, advancing our commitment to academic excellence. To create new and bigger opportunities for growth in the arts, theater and music, bringing vibrancy to our campus and investing in the creative gifts of our students. To equip our athletes to be the best they can be, working as a team and learning how much they’re capable of. To elevate our campus to accommodate more families and advance our ability to serve them as well as our community. And it’s going to take all of us. As we’re in the trenches, together building up a generation shaped by the Truth and marked by sacrifice, we step out in leadership and by example - to build - a generation and a campus ON THE RISE.
SHAPING FUTURE LEADERS
─
“With this many years being a BCS student, I can confidently say that this school has helped shaped me to be who I am today. I think my faith would not be as strong if I were attending another school, which portrays how special it is to go to a Christian school, especially high school. You do not have to have the feeling that you need to hide your faith, and you are surrounded by teachers and students that can support and encourage you through your school experience.”
Luke B. ’23
─
“Without BCS, my faith would not be as strong as it is today. The community here has impacted me in a big way and it has shown me how to truly reflect God's love on others. BCS is special to me because of the time set apart each week to worship God. I love hearing from the teachers you see in class everyday and how Jesus has affected each one of their lives.”
Trinity J. ’25
─
"All of the teachers and staff here truly do care about the students and set an example of how to live for Christ. Having the Bible incorporated into lesson plans shows me that time I spend with Jesus should not be separate from the rest of my life, but I should seek to grow closer to Jesus in everything that I do.”
Makenna J. ’26
IT'S GOING TO TAKE ALL OF US
─
These campus renovations are being funded through private donations raised by Brazos Christian School, so we are making a call to our “Family of Families” and donors to help us achieve our goal of raising $10 million over the next five years. Thanks to the generosity of our campaign donors we have already received commitments of $7.5 million and now need just $2.5 million to cross the finish line. It will take gifts of all sizes to get us there, and all gifts will be celebrated for the blessing they are to our school and God's Kingdom.
