The Best BCS Story is Yours to Tell

Admissions is about much more than filling seats. Although we are experiencing record enrollment numbers, the work to grow our school community continues. Our work, with regard to admissions and enrollment, is about welcoming families who understand and value the mission of Brazos Christian and who will add to the community we are building together. Admissions isn’t simply the work of a Director (me) or a committee; rather, it is something our entire BCS family plays a part in. The best BCS story will always be told by the people who are already living it.

As a BCS parent/family, you experience our school in ways no media or campus tour can fully capture. You see the teachers who know and care for your children. You witness their growth in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and in their faith. You experience the friendships, traditions, challenges, celebrations, and everyday moments that make BCS a true “family of families.” That experience carries weight. You are positioned to share your experiences with others. What you share matters because you aren’t describing BCS from the outside…you are living it every day.

At BCS, we work hard to tell our story well. We have a website, social media posts, smug mug galleries, campus tours, and events designed to give prospective families a glimpse of who we are. But when a family really wants to know, “What is Brazos Christian like?” they often turn to the source they trust most: another family. That’s where you come in. You know the teachers who have encouraged your children, the friendships they’ve formed, and the ways they’ve grown academically and spiritually. You know the traditions that make this place special and the little moments that may never make it onto social media but remind us why we chose BCS.

I would love to encourage you to simply share your Brazos Christian story with those you meet. Share what brought your family here, why you have stayed, or how a teacher, coach, classmate, or experience has made a difference for your child. Those opportunities happen more often than we realize and can take place in conversations at church, at work, on the sidelines, in the neighborhood, and among friends.

I strongly feel the most impactful way to tell the Brazos Christian story is through the people who are already living it, YOU! Thank you for partnering with us as we foster a community that is training, equipping, and educating students to impact the world for Jesus! Thank you for telling our story, welcoming others, and helping the next BCS family find their place here.
